The artist Speed Gold usually chose living subjects: plants, animals, people. In paintings, drawings and even sculpture, she captured something of their inner spirit.
Kathryn Bennett, Speed’s daughter, designed and made stuffed toys and dolls—first for her children and then to sell through select gift shops.
Speed and Kathryn decided to collaborate. The result is Kozi Dolls.
The team
All the people who make Kozi Dolls are in the United States.
Just like the dolls, some have roots in other countries and cultures. You could say they’re made by Americans from around the world.
